SRVUSD Annual Update

All SRVUSD Families Need to Complete the Annual Update

Attention all SRVUSD Families! It is time to complete the 2021-22 Annual Update.

The Annual Update is a District wide process held each year in June to verify household and emergency contact information as well as complete annual release acknowledgement and permission requirements. All families are required to complete the Annual Update each year.

The 21-22 Annual Update Portal will open on a different date in June for each high school and its feeder middle and elementary schools. There is no need to complete the Update on the first day it opens. You have until the beginning of the 21-22 school year to complete the Update.

Opening Dates:

Monday, June 14th - San Ramon Valley High and its feeder middle and elementary schools

Tuesday, June 15th - Dougherty Valley High and its feeder middle and elementary schools

Wednesday, June 16th - California High and its feeder middle and elementary schools

August 3, 2020

Hello Stone Valley Students and Families,

Welcome to the 2020-21 school year! I hope your summer has been restful and that you have had the opportunity to spend meaningful time with your families and friends.  With each new school year, I find myself having a nervous excitement just as I did as a student.  Although we will not have students on campus to start the school year, I definitely have this same level of excitement by what can be accomplished in a distance learning environment.  I have absolute confidence in our entire Stone Valley learning community, which includes our staff, students and families, to continue to join together to provide rich learning opportunities for our students.  Stone Valley Middle School is committed to engaging in the support that is needed for our students to learn essential skills at high levels just as we have always done.

As our county and district leadership continues to evaluate guidelines to potentially reopen campuses safely for our students, teachers, and staff, our team will be working hard to have frameworks and protocols in place to protect our community should we have the opportunity to return to in-person learning in the future.

Stone Valley Middle School continues to stay committed to the work we have been engaged in for the past few years of providing students with a guaranteed and viable curriculum.  This means that we are constantly defining and redefining what the essential skills are within each content area that students must know to be successful moving forward.  We will continue to assess students on these essential skills and provide additional support as needed for students that need additional time and support to work through detailed learning progressions.  Whether we are in remote learning or in-person, Stone Valley is committed to this work to support student learning.

Please allow me to highlight some important upcoming events:

  1. Please visit SVMS Student Registration - online registration begins today 8/3/2020.

  2. Student schedules will be released on August 12, 2020 at 12:00 PM on Infinite Campus.

  3. First Day of School is on August 13 and is a Minimum Day - out at 1:25pm. Please check the SVMS Bell Schedule for details.

  4. At this time, we anticipate being able to hold an in-person textbook, Student ID photos, and materials pickup during the first couple weeks of school.  We are working on the details for picking up computer devices (if you ordered one) as well. If you need a device and missed the survey deadline, please go to this link and do a technology work order. Click on “Student Device Request.” You will need to do a separate one for each student.

It is my pleasure to introduce you to our newest members of The Stone Valley Pride staff for the 2020-21 school year.  Please join me in welcoming:

  • Cheyenne Collins, SDC Moderate Teacher

I am extremely grateful to be the Principal of Stone Valley Middle School.  The high level of community support we receive is second to none.  I often say that SVMS is the “hidden gem of the SRVUSD” and there are many reasons for this common refrain. The foundational reason is how committed our entire learning community is to doing what is best for our students.

School Supplies

SVMS PTA is excited to offer you a new program that will help the school and make it a breeze for parents to get school supplies for next year. is making our supply lists available for online purchasing at discounted prices. The best part is that Yubbler will donate 50% of the profits back to the school.

What you need to do:

How it works:

  • Supplies are shipped “Next Day” to your home for free.
  • You spend time at the beach rather than looking for 3-hole punched eco-friendly folders in magenta… It’s that simple!

The deadline to purchase supplies is TBD, to ensure your classroom has supplies for the 1st day of school.  Parents are able to purchase supplies past the deadline, however classroom supplies for those purchases are not guaranteed to be delivered by the 1st day of school.
